We live in a new generation in the year 2026. It is certainly important to talk about solutions. For years and decades, we have known of the problems found domestically and internationally like racism, xenophobia, sexism, imperialism, colonialism, and other wickedness that have no justification in the world. Today, we have an ideological battle between people who want freedom and justice versus those who want fascism and authoritarianism. Here are 10 solutions that I wrote that can be a starting point to improve the lives of my black people and all people who love truth and wisdom. The following words don't show everything that must be done, but it gives a vibrant, strong blueprint on actions that people can enact to grow our society and liberate humanity.
1. LOVE OF BLACKNESS: The origin of all human life is black people. That has been confirmed genetically, historically, and scientifically. Respecting your melanin and what have you have been born to be is all about respecting yourself. Our ancestors were the epitome of Blackness who lived their lives filled with courage, honor, resiliency, hope, and action. There is a big lie that being pro-Black is about being hateful of everyone else. We are not colorblind as nature and the Universe is filled with color. Seeing and acknowledging the diversity of color is not evil. Hating someone because of color is evil. Therefore, we are color respectful, not color blind. Being conscious of color represents a fact of history and commonsense. Black is Beautiful is a revolutionary statement said by legends from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., etc. That concept is about living our lives, growing our intellectual development, and seeing our total identitiy as beautiful (beyond lies and false stereotypes).
2. SELF-ESTEEEM AND CONFIDENCE (ALONG WITH THERAPY AND ACCOUNTABILITY): Self-esteem is the life blood of human development. In our time, many people have self-esteem issues. That is why it is important to educate children, men, and women to promote healthy self-esteem. Self-esteem is about seeing the dignity in one's person, promoting human autonomy, and realizing that life is improved when anyone doesn't give up. Some evil people may dehumanize people in trying to lower someone's self-esteem, but we will never go into that route. We believe in standing up for ourselves and treating people with dignity and with respect. Major solutions always relate to growing self-esteem, having confidence, and using therapy plus embracing accountability. Many decades ago, going to therapy was taboo in mainstream society. In the 21st century, therapy is less taboo as therapy is about communication, developing strategies to grow in our lives, and seeking solutions to various issues common in human beings. There are tons of therapists of eveyr color and background willing to help human beings with mental health issues, issues of job searches, issues of financial turmoil, and changes going on in people's lives. Some actions of progressive behavior is refusing to interrupt people, lacking trust in people unjustly, Therapy can be about helping human beings to eliminate bad habits. Therapy is not weakness, and therapy should not be used a crutch to be lazy. We still all should do the work to analyze our lives, heal, and seek truth beyond distractions. Accountabilty relates to checking ourselves, growing our lives, and it is not about being emotionally crippled forever. Something as simple as saying sorry if you are guilty of something goes a long way instead of harboring bitterness and resentment. THe purpose of growing self-esteem is never to please other people but to be the best version of yourself for improving their own lives. It is fine to say no and to implement the plan of action to see a better future emotionally and physically.
3. MEN AND WOMEN PLUS THE REST OF HUMANITY WORKING TOGETHER: One of the most important issues of our generation revolves around relationships among men and women. I have written about this subject for years. As human beings, there is no solution unless relationships (both romantic and platonic) are improved upon among men and women. Men and women are born equal in value. There is no inferiority among people of every sex and background. Each human being born in the world has dignity and worth. Also, there are many physical, genetic, psychological, and hormonal differences between men and women too. That means that men and women deserve equality, and we should acknowledge our differences at the same time. There are many fundamental truths that we have to accept. They are that patriarchal supremacism exists (which is a system filled with male privilege, and the human beings with the most political and social power on Earth are men. This system allows women and non-conforming human beings to have rights restricted), the oppression of women is real, the suffering of men should be acknowledged (but it wasn't caused by women collectively), and trashing every woman or trashing every man (in dehumanizing terms) as total trash is slanderous agent behavior. Therefore, at the core of any relationship is embracing self-respect for yourself and for the Creator God of the Universe. If you can't respect yourself, you can't respect other people. It is as simple and mundane as that. In the beginning of humanity, many males (not men) organized a system where women were made into subordinates in terms of power, human rights, and other aspects of human living (there were exceptions in ancient times as matriarchal societies did exist millennia ago). That is shown in the Medieval age in Europe, where women were treated as objects, and in other places of the world where women couldn't even vote in America until the 1920s. Sexism, racism, and xenophobia are some of the many evils that have to end in order for human liberation to exist. Mutual respect is a prerequisite for a strong relationship among human beings. Without that, nothing changes. That means that a man must respect a woman's humanity, autonomy, ambition, goals, and personal humanity (plus vice versa). The suffering of women and men has been downplayed by those who hate all men and women. That is wrong as women and men are valuable and needed in the world. The issue is that the suffering of men isn't caused by every woman in the street but by the one percent who imposes toxic masculinity (instead of healthy masculinity) and other evil actions that has crippled many men's emotions and personalities (especially men with low self esteem, the extreme poor, etc.). In other words, you can be a man and have healthy masculinity (filled with protecting people, having hobbies, helping people, standing up for yourself plus others, and executing plans without oppressing women and scapegoating women for every evil in the globe).
There are many reasons why I don't agree with the passport bros. movement. This movement has been going on for years and decades, whereby Western men travel to developing nations to find romantic partners. The issue is not about traveling. Traveling to many nations is very positive to grow cultural awareness, to respect the humanity of diverse cultures, and to gain new insights and understandings of humanity in general. The problem with the passport bros. is that the motivation behind their activities is to scapegoat or blame American women for relationship issues (when the issues are a product of complex factors like the system of oligarchy, economic inequality, toxic manosphere agenda, not all American women), and many of the passport bros promote misogynistic and exploitative mechanisms for seeking romance overseas. They view women on a scale of inferiority and superiority based on nationality or ethnicity, which is the essence of misogyny, racism, colorism, and self-hatred in many circumstances. Advocates of this fetishization of women overseas claim success stories, but their stories are not all the same. Many people in the passport bros. movement report financial exploitation (among both parties), theft of resources, and some of them are in prison due to cultural misunderstandings or other reasons. Many of the men are targets of scams, extortion, and demands for money from extended families. Some males in this movement sexualize women overseas as some trophy wives instead of developing genuine attraction and human connection with women overseas (as total equals). Many members of the passport bros. movement advocate extreme manosphere and anti-feminist rhetoric, constantly seeking to brainwash many younger men to accept their lies. There is nothing wrong with marrying a woman overseas, but the motivation has to be sincere, without scapegoating every American woman for dating issues in America. Many passport bros. mess it up for many sincere men and women who travel overseas (in places like Brazil, Nigeria, Kenya, Thailand, France, England, Spain, South Africa, Colombia, etc.) for business, cultural growth, vacations, and other legitimate reasons. Therefore, love is special, unique, and beautiful. It doesn't need to be cheapened as the passport bros. advocate. At the end of the day, there is no true relationship without healing, accountability, working to be the best version of yourself, humility and strength to stand for integrity (including moral boundaries). Real love can be found in America and overseas, but real love is not based on a sexist, exploitative fantasy. It's based on the reality of expressing an authentic connection with a human being for the right reason. Being yourself always is important. Authenticity matters in the Universe among us human beings.
That is why I don't believe in the manosophere, because women are not the enemy. Women aren't monolithic. Also, attraction is important in a relationship, but relationships can last longer by common interests, respect, and a sense of purpose to fulfill goals (beyond just looks). We don't want people to date people who they aren't attracted to, but relationships will never be 100 percent rosy and perfect all of the time. Storms will come, and people have to find solution making avenues to overcome storms. Now, people should absolutely leave a relationship immediately if there is abuse, exploitation unjustly, infidelity, and if things just aren't clicking. I want to make that absolutely clear. You shouldn't be forced to be in or stay in a relationship if you don't desire one. Also, a relationship ending doesn't mean that a man or woman is worthless. Sometimes, it is a matter of things not working. The Golden Rule is a pristine blueprint for love to grow.
4. SELF-DEFENSE: Self Defense is a universal human act of survival. If your life is in danger or after all other peaceful tactics have been exhausted to the limit, you have every God given right to use self-defense by any means necessary. This doesn't mean that nonviolence is a weak force. One of the strongest people in human history have used non-violent resistance to oppose injustice and stand up for our human rights. We know many of these individuals' names and histories. Yet, people have every right to use self-defense to preserve their lives and the lives of their neighbors. This fact doesn't glorify violence in any capacity. It is about promoting human dignity and justice that is the birthright of all people. Malcolm X was a great advocate of self-defense. When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was in jail and threatened by white racists, Malcolm X sent a telegram to white racists that he was willing to send black men to use self-defense to protect the rights of black people in Selma who are only desiring the right to vote in America.
5. EXERCISE AND HEALTH: One of the most important solutions in the world is to improve our human health. That is non-negotiable. All human beings will go through the rain at times. Yet, that is not an excuse to give up. We should never give up. There are countless stories of people who have extreme obesity, and these men and women did the work to lose dozens and hundreds of pounds in a forthright, positive fashion. There are people in wheelchairs with outstanding physical strength and great health. Like always, we reject body shaming, and we believe in body positivity. That means that humans can be healthy and exist in a diversity of shapes and sizes. No one should be dehumanized because of race, color, shape, age, physical appearance, and gender. One of the most important parts of health improvement is to learn about your major vital signs. The reason is that each person is different as what methods may work for one person may not work for another human being. These health biomarkers deal with the measurable biological indicators of body functions, disease risks, and overall wellness. For metabolic health, there are HbA1c (shows average blood sugar over three months), fasting glucose (measures sugar after fasting), and fasting insulin (tracks early metabolic strain). The heart health metrics deal with LDL and ApoB (which count harmful cholesterol particles), triglycerides (that measure fats in your blood), and blood pressure (that tracks force in our arteries). Involving inflammation and organs, there are VO2 levels (involving lungs), the hs-CRP (that detects low grade chronic inflammation), liver enzymes (found in the ALT/AST relating to liver health), and TSH (that evaluates thyroid hormone function). There are other indicators like heart health overall, weight, body fat percentage, family history, waist circumference, etc.
More health information relates to metabolic health, sex hormones, thyroid health, inflammation, liver health, kidney health, nutrients, energy, the immune system composition, DNA health, brain health, gut health, and toxin exposure. To maximize human health, people should have strength-building exercise, cardio exercises, and flexibility exercises. Strength-building builds muscle as armor (as we age, we lose muscle vitality unless we use regular strength-building exercises like weightlifting, resistance training, etc.), cardio fuels the body with blood, and flexibility deals with developing joint health and being able to move efficiently. To grow health is also about reading, doing puzzles, gardening, and being intellectually stimulated, including being social with people to reduce the risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. People need 7-9 hours of sleep, drink water, reduce stress, get regular health checkups, and eat healthy (with proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients). Exercise and improving overall health will definitely improve human longevity.
6. COMMUNITY WORK: We all have to do the work. There are people right now organizing recycling campaigns, having literacy programs to read books, going about to end crime via conflict resolution programs, using charity to help the suffering, and standing up for social justice. The people who do these things are readily unsung, and they ought to receive our support and solidarity. Community work is real, and it is the basis of any resolutions that we desire as a people.
7. PAN-AFRICAN UNITY: I will always believe in Pan-African unity. Now, Pan-African unity means that we have different cultural differences as black people in the African Diaspora, and we are still one people of black African heritage at the same time. Some people are xenophobic and get the definition mixed up. Some people don't want to be called African American anymore when their genetics came from West African and Central Africa mostly. Some people with this deluded mentality have the embrace of Afrophobia that I reject. I was born in Virginia, and I consider myself African American or black American without apology. Additionally, black people deserve racial justice. All forms of discrimination and anti-black policies harming black people access to housing, employment, policing, wealth, political power, health care, etc. should be abolished. Black people have every right to establish their own institutions that they own and control. Black Americans suffered Jim Crow, redlining, and recently about 600,000 innocent black women lost their jobs in the Trump 2nd term alone. This reality should cause outrage among any person. I believe in reparations for black Americans as accountability must be made for centuries of anti-black oppression in America. At the end of the day, we should promote connections with our black Brothers and black Sisters worldwide with love, solidarity, and mutual respect for each other (while celebrating our cultural differences at the same time).
8. FINANCIAL LITERACY, FIGHTING POVERTY, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (WITHOUT POOR SHAMING): Also, another solution is that people should have financial literacy, fight poverty, and have economic development. Our culture as black people has always embraced the concept of community and collective development. Selfish individualism never works as that philosophy has brought about economic inequality, bankruptcy, and other economic turmoil that plague people globally, not just in the United States of America. That is why it is important to advocate for strategies to combat poverty like showing compassion to the poor, strengthening the social safety net, and educating especially young people about the basics of economics (like savings accounts, checking accounts, retirement, Social Security, credit, market rates, bonds, CDs, stocks, etc.). Financial literacy is valuable at any age, because regardless if you believe in capitalism or not, you still need to understand about the dynamics of economics. In that sense, it can be changed to benefit all of the people, beyond the one percent. Fair wages and labor standards are key to promoting the right methods to fight poverty. Local businesses doing the right thing deserve grants, business training, access to capital, and other methods to grow. There should be subsidized childcare as supported by most Americans. The housing affordability crisis is real, and we need affordable housing by using community land trusts, zoning changes, investments, and changes in the rent system. There are those who advocate a radical form of black capitalism that believe that black people must quit their jobs and start businesses and even be millionaires by day trading. That is not only unrealistic. It's false, because we need not only businesses. We need teachers, doctors, lawyers, plumbers, clergy people, judges, community activists, and a diversity of black people to grow the black community in an exceptional fashion. We don't need the extremes of laissez faire capitalism or Stalinist Communism, but a fair, progressive economic system that all of humanity can benefit. If you claim to fight for economic empowerment and don't advocate for living wages and labor standards, then you are hypocrite. That is why we need to advocate for policies that benefit workers collectively. So, we don't need to quite our jobs to achieve excellence. We need the politics and economics of this society to radically change, so all human beings can benefit in it filled with economic justice. You can't have generational wealth spread in the black community without a clean environment, without rights promoted to all people, without universal health care, without a strong social safety net, without a strong educational system, and without an end to laissez faire capitalism harming humanity globally.
9. SPIRITUAL/MORAL GROWTH (WITH ETHICS): There is no solution without morality and boundaries. Boundaries that you maintain are necessary to develop character and not be a doormat for anyone. We have all certain boundaries that are not to be played with, and we have the right to establish our boundaries. Spirituality has helped many people. In our generation, some people may mock religion, mock spirituality, and demonize anyone of any faith. Yet, people have the right to believe what they want, and there is nothing wrong with believing in God at all. Morality is beyond just a rule book of dos and don'ts. Morality is about embracing integrity and ethics that deal with fundamental truths of not disrespecting people, protecting the lives of people, refusing to lie, opposing cheating and adultery, taking responsibility for your own actions, growing your character, and seeking advice when necessary.
10. TRAVEL (IF YOU ARE ABLE TO): If anyone is able financially and physically to travel all over the country and the world, do so. Traveling can open the human mind to respect diverse cultures, gain new insights of existence, and learn to appreciate humanity and the Earth in a more progressive fashion. Also, traveling can allow people to expand connections in business, social communication, romance, and develop vacations that can cause a lifetime of memories. Traveling in the right way can create joy and happiness among human beings too. Traveling doesn't even have to be extremely complex in its composition. People can travel to a local museum, travel out of a state for a festival, and travel overseas to visit powerful locations of wonder.
